FAQs
The Crannagh Activity Centre introduced Northern Ireland’s first outdoor waterpark in 2016. The Waterpark is open from the start of May to the end of September each year.
The water park provides fun for all the family no matter what the weather. Sessions are available throughout the day and last for an hour.
How Do I Book?
Book online on our website.
When do I need to arrive?
You must arrive 30 minutes prior to the session started, to allow time to get checked in and changed prior to the safety brief.
How do the waterpark sessions last?
Session on the Waterpark start and Finish on the hour, this includes getting on and off the Inflatables
How do I Pay?
Book online on our website.
How much are the Waterpark Sessions?
Cost for the Waterpark is £12 per person for 5 to 9 yr olds (5 to 9yr olds must be accompanied on the park by an adult – max ratio 3:1) and £18 per person for 10 yr olds + (Prices include VAT at 20%)
How many people will be on my session?
Capacity on the Waterpark is 120 people, although we limit it to 80 as a maximum, to ensure everyone has plenty of space. We are never more than two thirds capacity.
Do you have to come as a group?
You can book as an individual or as a group.
Do you supply wetsuits and buoyancy aids?
We supply wetsuits and buoyancy aids, at no extra cost, but everyone needs to bring a swim suit, towel and importantly an old pair of shoes or flip flops for the walk to and from the park. You are welcome to wear your own suit (This does not affect the price) however the park can be quite harsh on wetsuits so we recommend using ours to save your own from damage.
How many staff are on the Waterpark?
We staff the park on a minimum 1:10 ratio, there are at least three staff on at any time. 5-9 year olds must be accompanied by a participating adult on the park.
Do I need to be able to swim?
Participants need a basic swimming ability, but they need to be water confident so they don’t panic when falling in. Everyone is supplied with a CE Approved Buoyancy Aid.
How far in advance do I have to book?
You can book up to the day of the session, although to avoid disappointment during peak periods, we do suggest booking at least two weeks in advance.
Can we barbeque or picnic on site
All catering, bbqs, etc on site is provided by the Crannagh Restaurant. To book a table and pre-order food please contact The Crannagh Restaurant on +44 (0) 2870327756
Can I bring my dog?
The Crannagh site is busy with a wide range of people on site at any one time. Due to this and previous problem we have experienced with dogs we ask that dogs are not brought onto site. If you do have to bring your dog, we ask that it is kept near the activity centre reception, where we are more than happy to get it a bowl of water and keep an eye on it for you.
Are there any activity packages available?
Yes we offer a wide range of packages, just message us for details
Do you charge for photographs?
No we do not charge for photographs. We take photos of all activities each day, which are uploaded to a daily Facebook Album. Photographs are then free to download. If you do not want your photograph taken, please say to one of the staff, who will then place some brightly coloured tape on your buoyancy so we can filter the photographs.
Do I need to be physically fit
You will need a basic level of fitness for all activities. However if you have any special requirements or needs let us know at the time of booking and our staff will guide you to suitable activities.
If you have any medication that you may require while participating in any activities, let the staff know and they can make sure it is available for you.
Can we book the Waterpark exclusively?
Exclusive bookings are available, but you need to have a minimum of 35 people. Exclusive bookings are not available on public or bank holidays.
Can I participate in activities if I am pregnant?
If you are pregnant the only activities we would recommend would be kayaking or canoeing.
Can I wear glasses?
Glasses can be worn on the park, but we recommend that you ask at reception for a head strap to secure them to your head. The management cannot be responsible for item lost during activities.

At The Crannagh Activity Centre, we have real people, who will set up your booking and ensure that the activities are appropriate for you .
We recommend that you message us via our Facebook page, using the messenger link on this page, as during busy periods it can be difficult to answer all the phone calls.
We do not require deposits, but do ask that if you are unable to make it, that you let us know as soon as possible.
On very rare occasions we may have to cancel sessions due to weather conditions. If this is the case we will contact you to arrange an alternative day or time.
